Reverend Mary Johnson
Reverend Mary Johnson is a chosen, appointed and anointed servant of God. Her roles within the Kingdom of God include Bible teacher, conference speaker, author and church board member. She possesses spiritual and administrative leadership experience in the areas of intercessory prayer, altar ministry, small group bible study, Christian Education/Sunday School and biblical lay counselling, leader and instructor of New Members & Discipleship orientation sermon presenter for Sunday and mid-week services, conference speaker; and small-group bible study leader. Reverend Mary has served on two church advisory boards for leading ministries in Boston, Massachusetts and Poinciana, Florida. In Poinciana she served on the Pastoral Council of that church board. Reverend Mary enjoys international evangelism, serving with mission teams ranging from the Caribbean and Canada to Europe and Africa.
Born on the Caribbean island of Montserrat, Reverend Mary is an educator by profession. Her educational career began on the island as an elementary school teacher and has continued into patient health education as a nationally registered dietician. It culminated with her role as Director of Patient Education & Training at the Roxbury Comprehensive Community Health Center in Roxbury, Massachusetts (RoxComp). At RoxComp Reverend Mary developed and managed nutrition education programs and protocols for the Women Infants & Children (WIC) program and adolescent patients. In her current role with the Florida Department of Health, she is a go-to dietician educating high-risk patients within WIC and beyond, for Osceola County
Known for her wit, wisdom and persistence in intercessory prayer, Reverend Mary is often sought after for her biblically grounded, practical perspective and prayer support in a variety of crisis management and counselling situations. She has shared her wisdom and life experiences coming of age in God’s kingdom in her published memoir, Ministering One to Another.
Reverend Mary Johnson holds a Master of Science degree in Nutrition & Food from University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude, in Education from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, San Juan. She is nationally licensed in Public Health and Nutrition currently serving as the lead nutritionist and health educator for Florida’s Osceola County Health Department.
